Burger Baron Disaster

I would just like to report on the horrible experience we all had (save and except for Jeff) at the "Burger Baron" today. I knew something was wrong when I received my receipt, and it had "Arby's Restaurant" written on the top.

I ordered a King Burger, a regular burger, french fries, and a regular pop. The french fries still had the potato peels on them. My regular burger was just that; a patty with a bun - no condiments, not even a pickle. An elderly gentleman at the restaurant took remarked that my burger reminded him of the heel of his shoe. Finally, the "King" burger was not fit for a peasant, let alone an aristocrat.

The atmosphere and decor was appalling. Not a single serious matter was discussed during our meeting. Near the end of our meal, I spoke at length about the smell of shit in my office. This seemed appropriate taking into consideration the circumstances in which we found ourselves.

It was surprising that Mr. Jakel found his encounter at the Burger Baron so positive. I suspect the Jakels have a significant share in the Burger Baron enterprise.

In conclusion, I would just like to say that I will not be frequenting this establishment again. This has been one the most disgusting experiences of my life. I would vomit right now, but the smell of shit emating from the washroom prevents me from attending at the toilet.

The Last Blog?

It is with profound sadness that the founding members of the WWC announce the unexpected and shocking end to the Kamloops Burger King franchise.

After enjoying our usual delicious Whoppers last Wednesday November 9, we attended Burger King on November 16 for our weekly meeting. To our dismay, the parking lot was empty, the drive-thru signs were down, the windows were papered over, and the BK sign was gone from the ground whence it came. In stunned silence, we tried to make sense of this loss. There had been no warning to the valuable membership. This at a time when our membership had been expanding weekly. Head office will be contacted and an explanation will be demanded.

Our lives (and our diets) will never be the same. We all leave behind fond memories of Burger King: Hardeep's steady diet in 2004 of two Whoopers and a pop twice a day; the infamous Robert Kasian drive-thru incident; Robet Kasian's sole attendance at Burger King the following week; the "Zesty Sauce"; most of all, the delicious flame-broiled Whopper sandwich.

A candlelight vigil will be held Wednesday November 23 at 7 pm in the Burger King parking lot. In lieu of flowers, the WWC will be accepting donations (preferably in the tens of thousands of dollars) that will be put towards the founding members attempting to bring the Burger King franchise back to Kamloops.

Disaster in NB

I am disappointed to report that the Fredericton BK has ceased to offer a whopper combo promotion on Wednesdays. In fact, they offer no regular whopper promotions at all.

I tried to contact local management who were suspiciously 'out to lunch' at the time. I have decided to write a letter to BK Corporate, inquiring about the need for uniformity of such promotions across the chain.

World Headquarters Report

I was really happy to read the report from our NB Chapter. The expansion of our club is very exciting news... We here at headquarters have also been working at signing up new members. Mr. Samuel Dabner of Fulton and Company attended our meeting this week. He is a natural fit into our club, and I definitely nominate him for membership. We have also invited Mr. Russ Bailey of MJB to attend one of our meetings. Unfortunately, he has neglected, refused, or failed to attend the last two. We are, however, willing to give him one more chance.

Our meeting this week was one of the best in recent history. Mr. Varesi, could not get his foot out of his mouth for the entire hour. We also shared some humorous stories pertaining to the T-man.

With respect to other WWC business, we are seriously contemplating the purchase of t-shirts marked with our logo on the front (WWC with picture) and our slogan on the back (Fraternal organization of professionals dedicated to the mid-week consumption of Whoppers). Please let me know if anyone is interested in this product.
